Virtuosity

At last a real human advance, well from my point of view of course, but let me tell you two anecdotes to enlighten what I’m trying to tell:
First, I hope everybody by now have tried the Nintendo Wii, if not I urge you to do so, I don’t mean to buy it, you can self invite to a friends house, maybe your nephews have one or in my country case go to a public plaza to rent one for a hour or so, then you will experience the tip of the iceberg in true motion driven virtual reality, I played Golf, Box and bowling, it was a awesome experience you can’t played sited like all paradigm video games up to now , you have to do it standing, you use you hands (sometime both) and every single movement is registered by the Wii, and it translates to a unique and personal movements that can not be copied by someone else, so if you do a little twist in you finger while bowling you will see a an effect in the ball while running down the table, the same happens to golf , baseball and everything else you played there.
Ok now to the anecdote part, one of my nephews told me that he went playing to a friends house, with other kids ageing from 9 to 20 but the cool part was that my nephews friend grandmother a woman of 70 years old was invited to play, she played box in the Wii and in 2 rounds she knocked out the guy, you can never believe what was the expression on her face she was like ecstatic.
The other thing I learned comes from SL, I met some people that have been tied to a wheel chairs most of their lives, some are young some are old, and being in SL, they can enjoy activities that of normal life and more, like dancing, running , driving around and even flying.
So anybody is entitled to an opinion about these times where it seems technology is displacing traditional activities, but I think good things came out of it too.

About SL Music

Music in my Second and Real Life

Music… A lot can be said and has been about it, but this is a personal feeling about music in Second Life and how this relates to the real life.
My first impression of music and dancing in second life it was of shock, how does anybody likes to spend time in SL dancing and listening to music in there?, well you have to second live it to know.
Sooner or later in SL you end up listen to music somewhere, now there all kinds of music in there as different people in, and if you are middle open to chatting with people, is a sure as you will end up talking, enjoying the company and the music, if friendship develops and you still visit music places in SL is almost sure you will end up dancing.
What about dancing, well you can informal modern dancing or doing special kind of group dance or even slow dancing (the best I think), and while doing that… the people gets closer in many ways, start to share more intimate feelings and emotions and I think dancing to music in second life is the least virtual experience you can have in there (so far as I have experienced), you can fall in love doing it like in RL or you can find that the other person is not compatible with you at all, and all because we tend to show more true feelings while doing it, which it will not stop to amaze me.

What else about music… You can assist to a piano concert or to a rock group concert (which can be live or pre recorded), assist themed parties, and even hear a Mariachi serenade for which I planned for a friend and went very well (meaning that everything went as planned, the charro suit, the guitar, the songs via the new voice capabilities, the villa, the night and even a mariachi backdrop attached to my feet he he).
So in music in SL as in RL your imagination is your limit

Beautiful People of Second Life

Beautiful People of Second Life
To interact with people I think it’s the ultimate purpose of SL, how you do it it’s another matter.
You can meet with thousands of minds in SL, but in the end you will kept a few near,
Why?, because we tend to do that in RL , we know a lot of people, but true friends just are… few, the same case happens to me here in SL all my friends are beautiful human normal beings and I’m proud to call them friends, three are gorgeous women and just one guy, so I going to Introduce them here each one:

She has multiple personalities, which she can play perfect, she closes resemblance to an actress in RL, and she has the name of a character of a Penelope Fitzgerald Book. (Although she denies having heard about Penelope Fitzgerald he he)
She is a good adviser to personal problems, has a beautiful grown up AV, which is a curved beautiful red haired (that may hint her real look he he), she is so open to things that in some short time she has let me be part of her personal Real life, she has been my guidance to proper some and etiquette here in SL, she is from the California

Some dissertations about Second Life

Second life as mostly everything in life has a lot of flavors, it can go from clean and good vanilla to bitter sour grape.
Let’s take to the light side first, second life is excellent for on line education, for international communication interchange, old people can be young again, males can be females, people with disabilities can walk again and fly, people with future vision can see the models of commerce we will use someday, how the technology it’s going to develop, we can simulate all kinds of things. In second life we have a chance to do it again, this time we can be as old as we want we can be as beautiful as we want, we can have the name almost what we want (too bad we can invent our last name) we can live dreams and we can take out our frustrations, we can be as tall as we like, we can be any color, and any look.
But in the dark side, we can be all the bad we can carry inside, we can bug people around, make script and actions to kick people around, in the pretending of being someone else we can manipulate other people, hurt feelings and be extremely rude.
A wise friend of mine said “virtual being but true feelings”
Still what we see around is a mix of the world culture as no one can understand completely.
In my travels across this cultural ethnic phenomena, I have found group some people open to sex activities, people very friendly and warm, people very cold and distant, people with so many multiple designated personalities, people that play role games with a passion that can be dangerous to their real life minds, forgetting for some time that play mean fun, sometimes in putting so many rules into the games that they can teach a thing or two to dictators.
One of the things we have to wonder is the capability of second life in matter of communication; for instance ; the other night around 8 in the night in my local time, I was talking to a friend from Belgium, one from Miami and one from Israel , at the same time just chit chatting having a good time, It struck to me , how amazing is that, there is no other mean to do it (as far as I know for free ) to met with these people (even if it is virtual) in at the same time in any place.
